Privileged Coast

A privileged site in the Shire of Levante Almeriense, by the Coast of Almeria, Vera offers you seven kilometres of beaches with unique features in all the Mediterranean Littoral.

Its exceptional nature is enhanced by the care and attention of its maintenance and for its crystal waters, some reasons why it has been granted for many years with the Blue Flag with which the European Union qualifies the maximum quality beaches.

The Vera Playazo Beach offers several kilometres of sand up to the outfall of the Antas River, creating a small lagoon surrounded by bulrushes and reed beds which offers a perfect rest place for anatidae and other birds in their migrations between Africa and Europe.

To the South, Vera offers a splendid Promenade from which to enjoy the beautiful Villajarapa Beach.

Facing Murcia to the North, the Shire of Levante Almeriense goes from the littoral to the rough and rugged landscapes of the inland province, holding mountain ranges as those of Bédar, Cabrera and Almagrera as well as fertile valleys where abundant crops grow, very much like the neighbouring orchards of Murcia.
